The 5 Phases of Pre-Engineered Steel Office Construction 

 

Unlike traditional slow concrete pouring, Honstar's prefabricated steel structures utilize high-speed, mechanized, and modular on-site assembly. Our standardized construction process seamlessly integrates across five key phases: 

 

Phase 1: Structural Engineering & Detail Drawing (PKPM / Tekla) 

Before cutting any beams or columns, our structural engineering team creates complete foundation, architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) blueprints. We use Tekla Structures (Xsteel) software to generate a high-precision 3D digital twin model of your office building to ensure that every pre-drilled bolt hole aligns perfectly on site. 

 

 

Phase 2: Civil Foundation & Anchor Bolt Installation 

While your steel frames are being manufactured in our automated factory, your local construction team will prepare the civil engineering work for the concrete foundation. Honstar provides accurate foundation load calculations and anchor bolt layout diagrams. High-strength anchor bolts will be pre-embedded in the concrete piers to secure the main steel columns. 

 

Phase 3: Main Structural Steel Frame (Columns and Beams) 

Once the material arrives, a heavy-duty steel crane begins hoisting operations.  

Main Columns and Beams: High-strength Q355B grade steel columns (equivalent to ASTM A572 / EN S355) are hoisted into place and securely anchored. 

Tie Rods & Inter-column Bracing: Installed immediately to lock the main frame into a rigid, earthquake-resistant cage structure. 

 

Phase 4: Secondary Framework & Floor Decking System 

Purlins and Wall Beams: Galvanized C- or Z-shaped steel purlins are bolted to the roof and walls to support the exterior wall cladding. 

Multi-Floor Decking: High-load galvanized profiled steel floor decking sheets are laid on each floor, and welded structural wire mesh is installed. Finally, on-site poured concrete is used to create a robust, quiet, and high-load-bearing office floor. 

 

Phase 5: Envelope, Facade, and Final Finishing

The final phase involves completely enclosing the building structure, achieving 100% weatherproofing. A wide variety of wall materials are available, ranging from high-end architectural glass curtain walls and stylish aluminum composite panels to energy-efficient polyurethane (PU) insulated sandwich panels. Next, fire-resistant commercial doors, aluminum alloy windows, and localized drainage systems are installed.
