This is a large-scale warehousing solution tailored by our technical team for a client in DR Congo. The client needed a very large warehouse while also having high requirements for the durability and safety of the building. It's a typical solution:

Case Story: Practical Solution for DR Congo Project
The client in DR Congo needed a large warehouse for storing construction materials and general goods. His budget was limited, requiring a cost-efficient solution, but need a stable and practical structure, also need lower wall for better protection against impact and weather.
Our engineers first communicated with the client about the local geographical environment and climate in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After confirming the natural conditions such as wind load, snow load, and earthquake intensity, we designed a suitable architectural design scheme for him, proposed a 60×100 multi-span steel structure warehouse, which included 3D renderings, materials list, packing plan for shipping, and the quotation.
Considering the building width (60m), our engineer said if use full clear-span design it's very expensive, because the larger span steel structures require larger columns and beams to ensure the building's stability, thus consuming more weight of steel. So they designed double span with internal columns to reduce steel usage and improve stability, and use1.5m brick wall to protect the lower structure from damage.
Challenge & Solution for the DRC Environment
When designing for our client in the DRC, we focused on solving three of the most pressing problems for local buyers:
A: Extreme Rainfall.
Our solution: Given the DRC's heavy rainfall, we specifically optimized the roof drainage system, installing larger metal gutters and downpipes, and designing a precise roof slope to ensure the warehouse remains leak-proof even during severe convective weather.
B: High Temperature and Humidity Leading to Rust.
Our solution: Considering the high humidity in the region, we applied high-standard rust prevention treatment to all steel components (sandblasting + high-quality anti-rust primer), effectively extending the building's lifespan in the tropical climate.
