An Algerian appliance dealer plans to build a new central warehouse on the outskirts of Algiers. He needs not only to store large appliances, but also a headquarters to accommodate 30 people and an area to store precision electronic components. 

 

The client has some pain points: 

Land Utilization: Local land prices are high, and the client wants to maximize the use of the limited 5,000 square meters of land.

1,175㎡ mezzanine Space: A 25x47m loft was designed at one end of the warehouse. The second floor serves as the headquarters office, offering unobstructed views and direct observation of operations below.

Hybrid Protection: A 1.5m high brick wall at the base completely solves the problem of ground moisture erosion and also enhances the building's impact resistance.

Reinforced Steel Structure: Considering the loft's load, the main beams and columns in this area were reinforced to ensure structural stability even when fully loaded with office furniture and goods.

A: The load-bearing capacity of the mezzanine is designed according to your specific needs. The standard load for a typical office is 250-300 kg/m². If you need to store heavy goods, we can reinforce the structure to increase it to 500 kg/m² or even higher. 

Q: Is it complicated to install a pre engineered warehouse with mezzanine? 

A: It's a little more complicated than a regular warehouse, but it remains prefabricated building. Honstar will provide specific installation guidelines for the mezzanine section. All floor slabs and support beams are prefabricated, so on-site installation is still quick. 

Q: Will a 1.5m brick wall impose special requirements on the steel structure foundation?
