The client in Dar es Salaam planned to build a large warehouse for storing imported goods and supporting regional distribution. He is facing challenges: they needed to capitalize on the increasing trade volume at the port but had a limited budget for a 60 meter wide warehouse. They didn't just need a building, they needed a strategic asset that could handle heavy inventory turnover while staying cool in the intense Tanzanian sun. 

Our engineer firstly discussed with the client about the local situation in Dar es salaam port, after confirming the wind load, snow load, and earthquake intensity, we proposed a 60x120 prefabricated warehouse with triple span structure special for him, with 3D renderings, materials list, shipping plan and the quotation.

Economic Constraint: A 60m clear-span (no pillars) structure is too heavy and too expensive for the client's budget. 

Our Solution: We proposed a 20m+20m+20m triple-span design with two rows of interior columns.This engineering reduced the weight of steel by 18%, saving the client over $40,000 in material costs while maintaining complete operational processes.

 

Climate Barrier: Extreme humidity and high temperatures in coastal areas can lead to rapid spoilage of inventory and worker fatigue.

The "Breathing" Roof: We integrated a high-volume continuous ridge ventilation system combined with 10% translucent lighting belts. This reduces the need for artificial cooling and lighting, lowering long-term maintenance costs.
