Most of Central Africa lies on a plateau at an altitude of 600-900 meters. The capital, Bangui, is located on the banks of the Ubangi River and has relatively flat terrain, but the soil is mostly laterite and alluvial. This means that foundation design needs to pay special attention to soil bearing capacity.

Designed for the tropical climate of the Central African Republic, Honstar's steel apartment buildings feature enhanced thermal insulation and superior corrosion resistance. We understand the logistical challenges of shipping via Douala Port to Bangui, offering optimized container loading and precision-engineered structures compliant with Eurocode 3 for the Central African market.

Strong Drainage and Leak Prevention During the Rainy Season: The rainy season in Central Africa is characterized by heavy rainfall and strong winds. Roof Slope: The slope of steel structure roofs should be appropriately increased (recommended not less than 10%) to ensure smooth drainage during heavy rain. Waterproofing at Joints: High-quality neutral silicone sealant must be used at window frames, door frames, and joints of corrugated steel plates to prevent leakage under wind pressure during tropical downpours.

Corrosion Protection in Humid Environments: Although Bangui is not near the ocean, extremely high humidity (especially during the rainy season) can still accelerate steel oxidation. Coating Standards: Steel columns (such as box columns) and steel beams must undergo rigorous rust removal (reaching Sa2.5 grade) and be coated with epoxy zinc anti-rust paint. Floor Decking: The galvanized steel decking used for floors should have a zinc coating of 120-180 g/m² to prevent corrosion from the bottom during its service life.
